On behalf of the Honorary Commercial Commissioners of Japan who visited the United States last year I have the honor of expressing to you my most sincere sense of gratitude for having travelled with the from beginning till end and given them every possible assistance and facility in your power, making the tour both pleasant and profitable in the highest degree.
At a special meeting of the Commissioners a unanimous vote of thanks was passed together with a resolution to present you with a silver vase as a token of their gratitude.
